War terror

During the Second World War, the Peter Group operated as a German-backed terror unit, carrying out brutal reprisals in response to the growing resistance in Denmark

Over just 15 months, the group spread fear through bombings and coordinated killings of civilians, designed to cause maximum carnage.

In this documentary, filmmaker Michael Schmidt-Olsen and historian Jens-Christian Hansen investigate the Peter Group’s actions in Northern Denmark, uncovering how terror was planned, executed, and experienced during the occupation.
