Poko & Lucy
Two small villages in Northern Ghana are facing severe challenges as the climate changes around them. In recent years, extreme droughts and raging bushfires have scarred the land, threatening livelihoods and the traditional farming methods that generations have depended on.
At the heart of this changing landscape, we meet Poko and Lucy, two strong individuals whose lives are shaped by uncertainty, resilience, and determination. With support from CARE’s Adaptation Learning Program (ALP), they are learning new ways of farming — helping them adapt, rebuild, and look toward the future with renewed hope.
Poko & Lucy is story of survival, learning, and perseverance. A story about people finding ways forward against the odds.
