My great-grandfather’s war

Jens-Christian Hansen’s great-grandfather lost his life in the fierce trench battles of France during the First World War. Although Jens never met him, his fate and the many unanswered questions surrounding it, have cast a long shadow over the family for generations.

Now, Jens-Christian and his cousin set out on a journey retracing his final steps across the battlefields to uncover what truly happened.

A search for connection across time and a reminder that the past, lives on within us.
